Dr. Shiana Ferraro is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor (ND) in the State of Connecticut, which authorizes the practice of naturopathic medicine only within the State of Connecticut. Medical services are provided exclusively to individuals physically located in Connecticut at the time of the appointment, in accordance with the scope of Connecticut law. Dr. Shi is not licensed to practice medicine, diagnose, treat, or prescribe for residents located outside of Connecticut unless otherwise permitted by applicable state law. 

 If you are located outside of Connecticut at the time of consultation, services provided are strictly limited to educational wellness consulting and health coaching, which cannot be billed to insurance. A receipt of services can be provided upon request, for you to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. A health savings account (HSA) or flexible spending account (FSA) can be used to pay for your consultations.  

These services:

• Do not constitute medical care or the practice of medicine in your state
• Do not establish a physician–patient relationship
• Do not include medical diagnosis, treatment, or prescription of medications
• Should not be interpreted as medical advice

Telehealth services may include video conferencing, secure messaging, electronic communication, and digital document sharing. Telehealth allows us to connect conveniently and safely, though it does have some limitations compared to in-person visits. Technology issues can occasionally occur, and while secure platforms are used, electronic communication always carries some privacy risks and considerations. Telehealth services are provided in compliance with applicable state and federal regulations. Telehealth is not appropriate for urgent or emergency situations. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911 or seek immediate care.

Your privacy matters deeply to us. This practice complies with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and applicable federal and state privacy laws. Protected Health Information (PHI) is stored and transmitted using reasonable administrative, physical, and technical safeguards. However, no electronic system can guarantee absolute security. By engaging in telehealth services, you acknowledge and accept the potential privacy risks associated with electronic communication. A full Notice of Privacy Practices outlining your rights under HIPAA is available upon request and provided with your initial intake paperwork.
