Dr. Shi offers virtual consultations across the country. Although her practice focuses on Pediatrics, Women’s health, and Neurological health, she finds a whole family effort is most supportive, especially for her pediatric patients, so all are welcome!

What to Expect with Dr. Shi
Initial Consultation
Dr. Shi has a comprehensive approach to case taking and management. She will prepare for your visit ahead of time by reading through your intake form and any lab results that have been shared or are available to her. During the visit, she will spend time asking you for more details about your concerns and may ask other related questions to better understand your condition. The first visit typically takes about 60 minutes. At the end of the visit, Dr. Shi will overview her initial lab order (which may have to be split up over time), follow up timing, and other potential recommendations, including referrals. After the visit is over, she will then provide you with an electronic copy of your lab order and visit summary containing any instructions or follow up recommendations through your online portal.
Follow-up Consultations
Prior to your follow-up, Dr. Shi will review your follow-up intake form and any possible lab results to prepare. During follow-up consultations, Dr. Shi may ask for more information about your intake submissions, and may ask additional questions pertaining to your case. If applicable, she will provide a comprehensive review of lab results, education on pertinent topics, and confirm any changes to your natural and prescription medications. Your questions will also be answered prior to making changes to your plan and consultation summary. Follow up consults may not provide enough time to review everything with some patients, depending on how many lab results need review, and how many questions need to be addressed. Therefore, you may need to make an additional appointment to finish going over everything. For this reason, some choose to make two back-to-back follow-up consult appointments, so that there is no further delay in your care.
